Week 11
Presentation Milestones Asset list Reflection: I met my goals for the first half of the quarter but not for the second half. I planned to create a rough animatic for the entire film. However, my plans changed halfway through, and I lost sight of what I was doing. Momentum was lost. Procrastination took over. I thought that phase in my life was over, but I guess I haven’t changed! For good or for worse. However, I am happy with what I made overall. My first few weeks were ver

Week 9
My goals this week were to animate a walk cycle. I completed this goal. My plans have changed since I've last updated my milestone document. My new plan is to make a short animation of this character and make it look good. I'm on track for completing this sized-down goal. I learned some of the basics of animation this week. I also fixed a few weight painting issues and clipping. It's still far for perfect. The rest of the quarter will be spent on polishing this character.

Week 8
I've made zero progress on my film this week for various reasons. I don't want to make excuses; rather, I want to analyze why. By identifying these problems, I can work on them more effectively. The first reason is that I am struggling to learn animation. This has stopped my momentum. I've encountered many frustrating technical errors. Now, I procrastinate to avoid that frustration. The second reason is that I'm too interested in my other projects. I'm using those projects to

Week 7
Milestone Document Asset List This week, I was supposed to rig some weapons and get started on animation. I did none of that. To be frank, I had hoped to work on this project by Thursday, but I failed to come up with anything substantial. I am behind in my schedule as a result of losing steam. I hope I'm not too far behind. I think I needed a week to reset. Here are some things I worked on that I didn't show before.

Week 6
Milestone Document Asset List Document I did not meet my deliverables for this week. I wanted to create a short animation this week, but rigging took more of my time than I thought. I decided to expand my goals from a simple rig to an IK aim rig to help with my animation later on. I am not on schedule, but I think that schedule was overly ambitious in the first place. Next week, I will adjust my milestones to better reflect my current capabilities. My new goal by the end of t

Week 5
Milestones Asset List My goals for this week were to fix the cape, sculpt, rig, unwrap, and bake the generic rig, and make an animation test with the pistol and rapier. I have not completed the animation test or rig. I have completed everything else. I'm a little bit behind this week. I did not complete the main goal of this week, which is to start animation. Instead, I focused on other projects and learning new things. It's my way of avoiding burnout. This is the low poly me

Week 4
Milestones Asset List My Week 4 deliverables are a generic rig, animation setup, prop prep, and cloth physics. I've made progress on all of these goals but I need to spend another week tweaking things. I'm a little behind schedule. My concern is the accuracy of the schedule. I keep adding things I need to do. I have changed next week's milestones to include an animation test to get a timeline on how long the whole film will take. I also decided not to create models for two un

Week 3
Milestones Asset List My week 2 deliverables are a rigged, retopologized main character(with hands), a rough knight variant, a rough soldier variant, and two generic human models. I have completed my goals for this week, and I am on schedule. One problem I'm facing is that I'm constantly adding more goals to the week as I figure out what I need. I fear that it would be unexpectedly too much later on. I'm about 70% done with my prop and character assets. The best thing to do n

Week 2
My Week 2 Deliverables are a retopologized and ready-to-rig protagonist, three melee weapons, a rough model of an antagonist, two pistols, a rough model of a horse and carriage, a knight template(to make more knights quicker), and a retopologized male and female base model. I completed almost all of these. I met my milestones for the week. I added a few more goals that were missing when I started the milestone document. As a result, I had a busy week. horse and carriage Pisto

Week 1
Very rough animatic This post is for the first week of a production class for my short film "Tyrant"(PH). It follows the story of Jehanne, an assassin, who has to escape from the city while being chased by soldiers and bodyguards. This week, I'm planning my production schedule for the rest of the quarter. My goal is to have a very rough 3D animation by the end of Week 11. Milestones Asset List I've met my milestone for the week. I'm ahead of schedule, in fact. However, I have
